Denton County has conducted 18 Point in Time Counts since 2005, lead by our Local Homeless Coalition (now The Path Home).

The Point in Time (PIT) Count is an annual, nationwide census of people experiencing homelessness that provides a one day only snapshot of the homeless experience in a given area. The PIT Count provides self-reported data of the experiences and needs of people experiencing homelessness in our community for funding and program improvement for years to come.

This one day only event relies on our community and volunteer base to ensure every person in Denton County counts.

Everyone who completes the volunteer interest form will be provided access to the volunteer registration form as soon it is available.

The 2027 Point in Time Count is estimated to be on January 21, 2027.
